If you are interested in conducting research on PCFG gray whales, we suggest you look through our list of on-going or current research projects listed here. This list provides a short description of PCFG related research projects and the lead scientist(s) that have gone through the Statement of Project Intent process with the PCFG Consortium board.
A central goal of the PCFG Consortium is to facilitate collaboration between research groups, including data sharing. To support these data sharing efforts, the PCFG Consortium Board encourages members to submit a Statement of Project Intent Form for review and non-binding feedback by the Board. The goals of this review process are to (1) recommended collaborators to approach for data sharing, (2) identify any potential for duplicative research with other research groups and advise on how to avoid duplication of efforts, and (3) provide optional feedback such as regarding analytical methods or literature references to review. Ultimately the data holder and requestor decide how best to proceed, and may use the PCFG Consortium Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a template, if desired.
To support these data sharing efforts, the PCFG Consortium Board encourages members to submit a Statement of Project Intent Form for review and non-binding feedback by the Board. After the board provides feedback, this project will be listed under Ongoing collaborative projects so other consortium members will be aware of your work.
